A Challenge That We Face
Dr. Ron Johnston
A few days ago I read this statement:
“Unchurched people are not antagonistic to the church, they are indifferent to the church.”
That is a very important concept for all of us, whatever size church we might attend, to grasp. When I was young growing up in a small town in Northern Ontario there were two types of people in my town. There were those who attended church on a Sunday morning and those who thought that they probably should.

The research partnership on Women in the Canadian Evangelical Church has launched an audio documentary series that explores the varied experiences of women in Canadian churches. The study involved women across congregations, denominations and backgrounds about their roles, challenges and contributions to church life. These studies show the reality in our churches today. They did research partnering with Small Church Connections and 13 other organizations. This series acts as a supplementary resource to the final research report that will be released early next year.
