About a month ago I was asked a very profound question by a reader of this blog. With a slight smile on his face he asked me if I was crazy. The reason for his questioning of my sanity was that I was attempting to write two blog entries each and every week.
He certainly is not the first person to question my sanity over the years but I would like to think that he may be one of the few to question it for justifiable reasons.
I have come to the conclusion that with every else that I have on my plate at the moment, I am a little crazy to think that I can produce two entries each week. To be more accurate, I am a little crazy to think that I can produce two entries that are worth you taking the time to read each week.
One of my goals over the past few months has been to write some additional entries so that I am always working several weeks in advance. In that way I can live through emergencies or busy periods without the pressure of having to publish two blog entries that week.
For these reasons beginning today I am going to cut my blog entries back to one entry per week. It is my hope that the one entry will be greatly improved because of the extra time that goes into it.
So beginning next week and for the foreseeable future I will be publishing one blog entry on Tuesday morning of each week. It is my prayer that you will find the one entry helpful and encouraging as you minister within the context of the small church.
Over the course of the past several weeks I have spoken with several people who have commented on the fact that they have found the blog to be helpful. Thank you to each of you who have encouraged me in this way.
Glad to hear it Ron!!
